What if my AC needs more than a recharge?

If the leak or component repair is beyond the scope of a recharge, the team provides a written quote on the spot. The $129 is not charged unless cold air is restored.

Do you charge a trip fee?

Not within 25 miles of Fayetteville. Outside that radius, a $50 trip fee may apply and is always quoted before the visit.

What if I’m not home?

As long as the vehicle is accessible and the keys are available, the work can happen without the customer present. Payment is handled by text link.

These are the basic terms for using Wally The Wrench LLC's mobile mechanic services. Plain English. By booking service with us, you agree to these terms.

Who we are

Wally The Wrench LLC is a mobile auto repair business based in Fayetteville, North Carolina. We come to you and perform automotive air conditioning service and related work in driveways, parking lots, and other accessible locations.

What we do

We currently offer mobile auto AC service, including refrigerant recharge with R134a or R1234yf, AC system diagnosis, and related repairs. We may offer other automotive services in the future. We are not a full-service repair shop, and we may decline jobs that require a lift, specialized equipment, or services outside our scope.

The $129 Cold Air Guarantee

Our flagship offer. Here's exactly how it works:

We come to your vehicle and inspect the AC system.
We recharge the system with R134a refrigerant (or R1234yf for newer vehicles, quoted on-site at typically $219 — same guarantee applies).
We verify cold air at the vents and confirm the system holds pressure.
If the AC blows cold and the system holds, you pay $129.
If we cannot restore cold air to the vents and the system will not hold pressure, you pay $0 for that visit.

The guarantee covers the recharge service only. If your vehicle needs parts (compressor, condenser, evaporator, lines, etc.) or has a leak too large to seal with our standard service, we'll quote that work separately. You're not obligated to accept any additional repairs.

Pricing and payment

Prices are quoted before work begins. We accept cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cash. Payment is due upon completion of service. We send a digital invoice for your records.

Additional parts and labor beyond the $129 base service are quoted on-site. You authorize each additional charge before we begin that portion of the work.

Scheduling, cancellations, and no-shows

We schedule appointments by text or through our online booking form. We typically offer same-day or next-day appointments with a 4-hour arrival window.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, text us as soon as possible. Cancellations made less than 1 hour before the scheduled arrival window may be subject to a $25 trip fee if we're already en route.

If you're not present and the vehicle is not accessible when we arrive, that's a no-show and a $25 trip fee applies.

Access and safety

You're responsible for:

Making sure the vehicle is in an accessible, legal location
Confirming we have permission to be on the property where the vehicle is parked
The vehicle being in a reasonably safe condition for us to work on (not on a steep slope, not blocked in, etc.)

If we arrive and the location isn't safe or accessible, we may decline to perform the work and a trip fee may apply.

What we're not responsible for

We perform our work to industry-standard practices. We cannot be responsible for:

Pre-existing damage or wear to your vehicle
Failures of vehicle systems we did not service
Damage caused by attempting service on a vehicle that was already in poor mechanical condition
Any failure resulting from misuse or improper operation of the vehicle after our service

Our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question.

Warranty

The $129 Cold Air Guarantee includes a 30-day warranty on the recharge service itself: if the AC stops blowing cold within 30 days due to issues with our work (not a separate underlying problem we identified and disclosed at the time), we'll come back and re-evaluate at no additional charge.

Parts we install carry the manufacturer's warranty. We pass that warranty through to you.

Dispute resolution

If you have a problem with our service, text us at (984) 205-3820 first. We want to make it right.

If we can't resolve it informally, any dispute will be governed by North Carolina law and resolved in the courts of Cumberland County, North Carolina, or through binding arbitration if we both agree to it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms over time. If we make material changes, we'll post the updated version here with a new date.
